Easy, no bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Krispies ! (GF/Dairy Free/No refined sugar)
I say YES to desserts🙋🏼‍♀️, and if it’s a healthier version that won’t give me a tummy ache it’s a HELL YES!!! Because what would life be without desserts? But we all have goals whether it’s physical or health related. I believe it’s possible to satisfy a sweet tooth without chemicals and additives, or limiting what we are trying to achieve. Recipes just take a little tweaking with more nutritious ingredients.
So, here ya go....
Ingredients:
•3 Cups Organic crispy brown rice cereal
•1 1/2 Cups peanut butter(any work nut butter works)
•1/3 Cup hemp seeds
•1/3 agave or pure maple syrup
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•Optional: 1 1/2 CupsVegan chocolate chips or regular for top.(Keep out if avoiding added sugar)
Directions: In a large bowl mix nut butter, agave, and vanilla. Once mixed well, add hemp seeds and crispy rice cereal. Line an 8-inch pan or glass dish with parchment paper and press mixture into the pan. If adding the chocolate topping: melt chips in a microwave for 1-2 min, stir well. Spread the melted chocolate on top. Stick in the freezer for 30 minutes. Then cut into squares to enjoy, or into an airtight container to store in freezer!
*FYI, these taste great even without the added chocolate. I usually make a double batch and do half with chocolate spread for kids, and half without for me when I’m reducing sugar.
